New Class Schedule Starts This Week!

Exciting week of the new year at Infinity Fitness! Our new schedule starts this week with new Zumba and HIIT classes! If you are interested in coming to our HIIT class and are wondering if there is anything you should bring, check out the list below:

What Should You Bring to HIIT?
Tennis Shoes with good traction
Water Bottle
Towel if you get sweaty like me!

Optional Recommendation:
If you get sweaty hands like me, I would recommend a pair of exercise gloves so your hands don't slip on the floor during push ups, burpees, etc.

HIIT is a great class to combine with Bootcamp which is immediately following HIIT. If you plan on attending both classes your should also bring the following:

What Should You Bring to Bootcamp?
Yoga Mat
Hand Weights
Water Bottle

Optional Recommendation:
Again, sweaty hand and feet lady recommends yoga socks or wraps. Tennis shoes tend to be a bit clunky to work with when using the stability balls, and to keep your grip yoga socks or wraps help a lot.

2. Eat right, Exercise, (hey, we know a place for that!) and FEEL GREAT doing it!!
3. Come to the Weigh-Out (Feb. 2nd, 2016) at Infinity FITNESS, Monticello. Weigh out.
4. If you loose 4% or more of your Body weight you get your $25.00 back!PLUS you get to SPLIT the pot of any participants who did NOT loose their 4%!! (minus IF fees, sliding percentage from 5%-15%)

Upcoming Workshops

Don't forget to register for the Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Chakra Course with Erin McGuire. Workshop that is being held January 23rd, 2016 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Cost is $35.

Post Work Out Protein

After any workout it is essential to help repair damaged muscle tissue through food or drink high in protein. Food and drinks high in protein supply the body with amino acids that are needed to help repair damaged tissue. I myself am extremely picky and have a hard time getting all the protein and iron I need, especially being anemic. My go to is a homemade protein smoothie. I invested in a Ninja Master Prep Professional Blender, by far the best blender for smoothies I have ever used. I am also really picky regarding ingredients, so the best protein powder I have found is the Isopure Zero Carb Creamy Vanilla Protein Powder. After having gestational diabetes with both my girls I have to be really careful about my carb intake. Unfortunately, many low carb foods are full of chemicals and junk, and this brand is the best I have found so far with zero carbs, zero sugar, decent calories, and high protein (plus it actually tastes good!) My smoothies usually contain protein powder, frozen strawberries with no added sugar, one fresh banana, ground flaxseed, and skim or almond milk. You can also add a dash of organic honey for some extra sweetness. Amounts of each ingredient vary on how much you want to make, but I usually have enough for me and my two girls, and they love it! There's no need for ice when you use frozen fruit, which is great because your smoothie won't get watered down that way and lose flavor. What are some of your favorite smoothie recipes?
